to volunteer with medevacs at the medical center (I'm not a fan of bloody wounds and mangled flesh), I chose to patrol base shooting birds too close to the flightline during my downtime. Unfortunately I couldnt even tell you what province Balad is in, though I had every route, FOB, sheriff/landowner, and most of the associated checkpoints memorized cold back then. I can still see the routing maps in my head. Glad you made it back in one piece and can still drive the Z!
